Joy and passion – these were our customer's driving forces for his restomod project "Tender 5.7". We brought just as much passion to modeling the class-A surfaces and the development of the complete carbon fiber exterior of this elegant roadster.
The design of class-A surfaces from 2D design templates in the development of a carbon fiber exterior for a restomod vehicle requires a careful approach to ensure precision and aesthetics.
After the freeform surfaces were provided with the necessary wall thickness, the conception and implementation of all body part connections were the next crucial step to ensure seamless integration and structural integrity of the vehicle exterior.
We then proceed at checking and adapting flap kinematics to avoid collisions with other exterior parts or vehicle’s bodywork.
Our comprehensive approach extends to the holistic development of components, ensuring a cohesive and unified design that meets both functional and aesthetic criteria.
One of the last steps is the mold and tool design which is essential for the manufacturing process. By focusing on precision in form and tooling, we contribute to the seamless realization of this automotive vision, creating a harmonious blend of form and function.
